It may be in the 90′s outside right now, but I’m already thinking about the fall and winter. The summer has literally flown by, and, unfortunately, the end of summer and back to school time is not that far away. That’s why I thought it would be fun to give everyone a sneak peek of some of the cool stuff Wild Child has on the way…plus, thinking about the cute kids clothes keeps me from feeling sad about the change in weather that fall and winter brings!
Here’s a quick recap of what’s on the way for fall:
- Tea – I love their new Hungarian inspired line for the fall. We already have some of it in the store, so you can check it out now. Just the other day a customer from Hungary came in who said that she thought the designs were pretty true to the culture. My father in law is from Hungary so he thought it was pretty cool that they’ve designed a whole line of clothes after his homeland.
- Glug – their cute, fun and funky T’s and sweatshirts will make nice additions to any fall wardrobe. I especially like their boys T’s – SO CUTE! My fav is the T with the gorilla face on it.
- Mulberribush – this line is just for the boys! Today we got some of their boys T’s in. Some have dinosaurs on them, others have fire trucks. We also have some great wide-wale cords that will be great for every day or dressed up a bit. To top it off, their jersey-lined athletic pants are warm, soft and perfect for all those active boys!
- Corky & Co. – their coats are the cutest and oh so warm! These coats are both practical and fun!
- Twirls & Twigs – they’re such a great company! They use sustainable fibers, designer left-overs, and recycled cotton to create some of the cutest outfits that I’ve seen!
- Charlie Rockets – another one for the boys. Their rugged, soft shirts are perfect for everyday wear!
We’ll also have more fall shoes in from See Kai Run, Livie & Luca and more!
This was just a quick preview of what’s to come. Stay tuned for more updates….I’m anticipating more lunch boxes and kid’s back packs from Skip Hop, some Bundle Me’s from JJ Cole, etc.
As usual there is a plethora of adorable and cute girls clothes on the market. However finding the super-cute boys clothes takes a little searching. Again, I found this to be true when I was doing my buying for the fall. It just seemed like every where I turned there was another cuter than cute girls outfit, but the boys stuff was either to precious or dorky or too over-the-top trendy. Since our clothing goes up to size 8 in boys, they’re still at an age where they should look adorable and not too trendy. This is why I’ve focused on cute, rugged, and very-boyish tops and nice basic bottoms for our boys stuff.
Things that I like right now for our boys:
- Tea always delivers when it comes to boys…they consistently have cute, age appropriate and fun outfits
- I love the t-shirts by Glug – who wouldn’t want a cute lizard on their shirt?
- Wes & Willy – trendy with out being too trendy, can’t wait for their fall stuff
- T’s from City Threads – nice basic t’s and polos. The T’s have cool prints on them like T-Rex, the Excavator, or Triceratops.
- And for the tiny babies, you can’t go PetiteBateau or Bubele – simple cotton outfits that aren’t too cutesy or delicate
