Love the Elite in Green! Nice racing stripes, too!

Yesterday we got a Baby Jogger City Elite stroller on the floor.  We’ve had them on the floor before but people seem to love them so much that we just can’t keep them around.  This one’s here to stay for a while.

First of all it’s really easy to put together.  Like most strollers out of the box, you really just have to put the wheels on.  But with the Elite, it’s super easy…click on the canopy and put on the wheels and you’re ready to roll!

It also comes with a parent console-like attachment.  Yes, really.  This means you probably won’t have to buy something extra unless you need a spot for a really big drink…this one will hold your phone and keys and some other things just fine.

Just in time for the tax-free weekend, the BabyJogger City Elite stroller hits the store floor.  The City Elite adds to several jogging strollers within our lineup including the Bob Revolution jogger, the Bumbleride Indy and Mountain Buggy Swift.  If you’re looking for a jogging stroller in Boston, we’ve got you covered!

Any other jogging strollers you love?  Let us know in the comments.  Thanks!

Strollers are a hot item these days!  Of course, it’s understandable when there’s a lot of great strollers to pick from, such as strollers from Uppababy, BOB Trailers, Baby Jogger, etc.  However, we’ve also been experiencing significant delays in receiving some them, leaving parents feeling frazzled and retailers taking the fall.  In my own defense, I have to say “It’s not my fault!”

It’s partially a lesson in international freight shipping…demand is exceeding supply and there aren’t enough ships to bring goods to market.  With the economic slow down in 2008 and 2009 shipping companies reduced their shipping capacity from Asia to the US.  Now that we’re coming out of that downturn, demand for consumer products in the US has gone up leaving companies scrambling to find space on cargo ships – the same space that would be needed for your stroller.  It’s true, most of our strollers are manufactured in China and lengthy shipping delays have led to shortages in stroller availability.

Until shipping capacity increases it’s likely that we’ll continue to experience some delays.  So if you’re waiting for a stroller, hang in there, your ship will come in soon!
