Hi Brianna!
I don't think they'll be coming out with that this year. I'm double checking with Uppababy, but it's not something that I've ever heard them mention. Sorry!
Thanks!!

Hi Daliana!
You can use the CMGT with a newborn if you're using the pram or car seat adapter, otherwise baby jogger recommends putting your baby in the main seat of the stroller around 3 months. You may be able to put a baby in the seat soon with some support.
An occasional short jog would probably be ok, and certainly brisk walking is great. But as you mentioned, it's not a jogger, so it really shouldn't be used in the same way that you would typically use a jogger. But, a few short jogs here and there would be fine. I don't have any other recommendations for other strollers similar to the CMGT, unless you'd like to consider the Bumbleride Indie. The Indie is not as compact (not as flat) as the GT. So if that's a priority for you, then the BR wouldn't be for you. Overall, it does sound like the GT would be great for your lifestyle.
what other questions do have??

best,
lauren

Hi Lon,
on the 2011 and the 2012 (and probably all Vista models) the rear wheel lock locks BOTH rear wheels. If you've seen a 2011 where only one rear wheel locks, then the lock mechanism is broken!

What other questions do you have??

best,
lauren

Hi there. I appreciate your detailed description of this stroller and others I've seen on this blog. First I would like to know if you would recommend this stroller for a newborn and knowing that it's not a jogging stroller I wanted to know if it tolerates a brisk walk well or an occasional short jog. I have noticed that jogging strollers are significantly heavier and what we will be needing is a stroller that will work well in an urban setting but also will facilitate taking our baby while walking our hi energy dog and an occasional short jog when he is supper exited. We are not a full blown "jogging" family so we are not sure if a jogging stroller is practical for us. If you have other recommendations we would surely appreciate them.

Thanks!!!

Does the right rear wheel lock only the right wheel or is there a lock for the left wheel? The 2011 model only locked the right rear wheel. But the stroller can still spin around. Did they mean to lock one rear wheel?

Thanks for the response! I think I will love the GT too, but I feel like I need to prepared if I don't. I wouldn't want to be stuck with a pricey stroller that I don't like. Any idea of the cost of the return shipping would be? Also, if returned would I have to pay for the original "free shipping'? If the return shipping is all I would have to pay if I didn't like it I think I would be okay with that. Thanks!

Hi Again!
I don't think the green CMGT is boyish at all!! None of the colors seem overly boyish to me. CHeck out this blog post, which has a video: http://www.strollerguru.com/2011/09/27/new-2012-baby-jogger-city-mini-gt-stroller-love-it/
At the very end of the video I show the yellow CMGT. It's a nice yellow, not too bright/neon looking...it's sort of a soft, buttery yellow, not banana yellow. it's not really a grey-ish yellow, but it's not really bright.

hope that helps!
