FREE STROLLER WASH!
According to the Weather Channel next week is supposed to be sunny and warm!! I’m praying and crossing all my fingers and toes that that’s really true! So now that we’re definitely through winter and hopefully through the rainy-ness of spring, it’s time to clean up your stroller!!
On Saturday, May 21, from 10am to 1pm we’ll have the supplies needed to help you clean up your most important piece of kid gear – your STROLLER!!! (Duh!)
What we’ll have on hand:
Vacuum – to suck up all those gross bits of old snacks, dirt and sand
Cleaning wipes – got some yuckiness on the bumper bar or around the seat? Use our cleaning wipes to clean it up right!
Bucket of soapy water – to wash down those grimy wheels from weeks of snow, slush and rainy weather
WD40 – got a squeak somewhere? We’ll grease it up!
Air Pump – we’ll even put some air in your tires if you’re running low!
Please join us this Saturday for a little stroller spring cleaning!
Just so you know, this is not what I look like when I clean...in fact, Steve will tell you that I look quite the opposite - crazy and possessed 
Please note, this event is a stroller wash. If your stroller needs any repairs, those repairs are subject to the manufacturer’s warranty. If your stroller is in need of repair and is no longer under warranty then we are happy to help you obtain and purchase the necessary parts from manufactures that we have contacts with.

Erik Johnson is a 3rd generation silhouette artist, who learned his craft from his father. Erik cuts out each silhouette of someone’s profile by hand. As you can see from the pictures that I’ve included, it takes a very steady, detailed hand to cut out each silhouette. He’s also very quick at cutting out the silhouettes! Each silhouette appoinment is 5 minutes…YES, 5 minutes!!

All of us at Wild Child would like to thank our customers for supporting us as well as other local Arlington small businesses during Small Business Saturday. Many of you were thoughtful enough to ask how the promotion that American Express created was working out and we’re happy to report that it went quite well!

We are also thrilled at how many of you made a specific effort to shop locally. We heard many stories from you about multiple visits to other shops like Derby Farm, Helena’s and Sadie’s and we’re all grateful for your locally focused shopping efforts. As we head into the busy holiday shopping season, we encourage you to share your local shopping experiences with friends in hopes that they too will appreciate the ease of shopping local rather than the stress that the mall encourages.
We will hopefully see many of you again next Saturday when the Heart of Arlington Holiday Open House kicks off at 10am and runs through 8pm. We’ll have more information to follow, but here are a few highlights:
- Wild Child will have free juice boxes and snacks all day, plus you can enter a raffle to win a $50 gift card!
- Chilly Cow will have free hot chocolate and coffee all day.
- Derby Farm will be raffling off a $75 center piece and is giving away free gifts with every purchase of $20 or more.
