We’re excited to announce a factory authorized sale on Sunshine Kids car seats! These kinds of sales don’t come around very often so now is the time to take advantage! The Sunshine kids car seats are discounted by 20%!
Both the Britax and Sunshine Kids brands of car seats that we carry are compatible with the LATCH system. But what does LATCH stand for? Lower Anchor and Tethers for CHildren. LATCH has been available in most passenger vehicles since model year 2003 and tether anchors have been available since model year 2000. According to the NHTSA website, “Nearly every car seat and most vehicles manufactured since September 1, 2002, are required to have the LATCH system. LATCH makes it easier to get the child seat in right – the first time and every time.”

Yesterday we received our long-awaited Sunshine Kids Sante Fe booster seat! It’s nice to add a backless booster seat to our line up.
The Sante Fe booster is really just the bottom portion of the Sunshine Kids Monteray Booster, which has a back. This is a low profile, belt-positioning booster seat that is a great option for families that would like a more portable seat.
One of the great feature of the Sante Fe is that you can install it using the LATCH system. To install via LATCH there is a front adjuster belt that allows you to loosen or tighten the LATCH connectors to your vehicle’s Lower Anchor Attachment points. These LATCH connectors are great because it ensures that the seat seat doesn’t become a projectile when you’re driving without your child in the car. If you don’t have LATCH in your car, that’s ok! You can still use the Sante Fe. You will simply position the Sante Fe where you want it and buckle your child in. The LATCH connectors can be tucked away inside the Sante Fe.
Note: Your vehicle may state a set weight limit for its LATCH anchors (40 or 48 lbs). This weight limit does not apply to booster seats with LATCH as the Lower Anchors on a booster seat are only intended to secure the weight of the booster seat itself. The vehicle’s lap and shoulder belts secure the weight of the child; because of this, you can use LATCH with the Santa Fe up to 120 lbs.
- Fits children 30 lbs to 120 lbs
- Provides easy and secure LATCH attachment to vehicle even when not occupied (LATCH use is optional)
- Energy absorbing AirTek™ foam provides superior cushioning and increased airflow for comfortable ride
- Longer seat bottom provides proper leg support with cushioned comfort
- Prevents submarining with angled and reinforced seat bottom
- Tapered seat shape properly fits a growing child at every stage
- Retractable cup holders are extra deep to keep drinks upright
- Bottom rubber pads grip better and help protect vehicle upholstery
9.75″ H x 19.5″ W x 16″ D
7.45 lbs
After meeting with our friends at Britax yesterday we were really excited to learn about their updates to the Britax Parkway SGL.

Just wanted to let everyone know that we have a (just one, so far) Sunshine Kids Radian XTSL in stock now!! Whoo Hoo!!
This seat is awesome because of it’s internal steel frame, side impact head protection, and slim design. With the Radian car seats you can fit 3 of them across in your back seat…yes, way!
Kari over at A Giveaway Addicted Mommy had this to say about the Radian XTSL:
“Everyone that sees this car seat mentions something they like about the design. It looks great and comfortable. It sits low enough, and the sides are not so high, that Jake can reach things on the seat next to him which helps on those long rides as Jake can help entertain himself. It also sits high enough so that he can see out the window.”
I couldn’t agree more with her assessment of the Sunshine Kids Radian XTSL seat. It’s just plain awesome!
One thing to keep in mind however is how it fits in YOUR car…the safest seat for your child is the one that not only fits well in your car, but also fits your baby well. That’s why we recommend that you come in and try our floor model out in your car to make sure that every thing is hunky-dorey.

Just yesterday we got in a nice shipment of Sunshine Kids car seats and a few accessories. We love Sunshine Kids because they have great accessories at even better prices and their car seats are safe, comfortable, and will fit your kids until they’re 65 or 80lbs for the Radians or 120lbs for the Monteray!
As of July 1, Britax discontinued their previous line of convertible car seats and introduced an updated line. Basically, they’ve simplified and streamlined their line of seats and made some really great improvements. As far as we can tell the improvements are all safety related as opposed to major cosmetic updates. Upon close inspection, it becomes obvious that the new seats have superior construction and a a very solid feel while maintaining (and in some cases improving upon) their already good looks.
